Holy MOLY, that ruck pace is making some of us look REAL bad!
That’s one of those ass wiggling power walking paces.

Nice output

It's often chilly in Scotland... But upping the rucking speed will keep Honey warm.

My fasted km today was about 9:40... I kept thinking how the fuck is Badger moving so fast!?!?

haha, you're right, it's a full on ass wiggling arms pumping power walk! It does get the heart rate going a bit though. It takes a bit of concentration to keep at that pace, but I'm naturally a fast walker anyway. My wife is continually telling me to slow down whenever we go anywhere!
Between my rucks and the yard work, I've been blasting through the podcasts over the past couple of weeks. It wasn't until last night I remembered that I haven't listened to the Better Humanology that Buckeye is on, so I'll have to get that downloaded for next week

I was hoping to get a second session after work, but we have family visiting this weekend, so I'll have to settle for beers and too much food. it is now officially 5 weeks until we go on holiday as well, so after tonight I might actually make a proper effort to lose the extra pounds I'm carrying. I think bulking season is well behind me now, so that excuse is wearing thin!

New found resolution or just exorcising your guilt from a well served weekend??

Either way, EXCELLENT engine work!

Yeah, I've decided to take a cardio heavy deload week. I usually keep my hand in with the barbell during deload, but thought I've a few aches and pains, so thought a week off wouldn't do any harm!

22/05/18 (lunchtime) -

Airdyne -

10s:20s intervals for 8 rounds -missed round 4

2 -3 min rest

10s:20s intervals for 8 rounds -missed round 4, 6 & 8

2 -3 min rest

10s:20s intervals for 2 rounds

The Airdyne made an appearance back at my gym after being away for months. I have no idea why it was away and how long it will be back for, so I thought I better pop my cherry on it. My legs were a bit weary from Mondays workouts, so I'm glad I erred on the side of caution and only did the 10s work, 20s rest option. I was f*cked after that. I'll have to look at it properly one evening to work out what would be best to track on the "work" sections i.e. meters / calories / tears of blood etc.

23/05/18 Lunchtime -

C2 rowing machine (Resistance Level 6) –
5000 metres
20:19 mins (PR)

Happy with that. I thought my last PR was 20:21 so I was happy to beat it by 2 seconds, but the previous one was actually 20:31, so even better.

I think somebody may have posted this on the forum already, but has anyone seen Brian Shaw on a rowing machine? I've posted the link below. I think that rowing machine will have to go in for a service after that!

Shaw probably gases out about 1000m... and who was that guy that was really popular last year for a couple months that had this big thing about rowing? This Robert McDonald guy. I had plans to try beating his 7:00 mark... just another plan.

Yeah Bobby Maximus, I actually just listened to Jerreds podcast featuring him last week. It's an episode from May 2016 I think. It's a good episode and worth a listen. He mentioned the 2000m row in 7 minutes. I've never done 2000m for time on the rower, but will give it a go at some point. I'll not get near 7 minutes, but will be a good marker to check every now and again.

Airdyne -

10s:20s intervals for 8 rounds -missed round 5

2 -3 min rest

10s:20s intervals for 8 rounds -missed round 3, 5 & 7

This thing is a beast. Not sure if I should stick to the 10:20 format, and live with missing some of the intervals, or if I should increase the rest, to 10:30 and hopefully miss less of them. Will have a play about with this next week
