EMOMs have been and always will be bitch worthy. When one endeavors to train with them, they are accompanied by a lifetime hall pass to bitch

The strange appeal emoms have... Wish I had known about these little moments of truth back when I was in my early 20's trying to count to 60 in my head to keep track of rests between sets. Wish I had known about squats and deadlifts back then too, instead of wasting all my time with the leg press and hamstring curls.

W2 would be 36 reps at 145? In 12 minutes... fantastic!

Yes sir, felt great 5-7 minutes after I was done, but damn those last 3 sets.....

I was muttering to the guy in the mirror, "it's only 3 reps until your next rest, just do it you little bish "

So far, W3V2 has looked like this:

Squat (275): 220-245-260-275 EMOM-220

Press (205): 130-150-155-165 EMOM-130

275 felt easy* (*as far as 100% of 1RM's go) and i think I like the W3 EMOMs more than W2's

However, I am feeling a bit of dread for power cleans tomorrow

BJJ last week put a half dozen knots and kinks in my back, so I'm hoping tomorrow to wrap up W3V2....

V2W3 concludes!

with

Power Cleans(205): 165-185-195-205 EMOM-165

The EMOM was rough but quite doable, usually that kind of "hurts so good" sets me back $600/hr

Nice work! Power clean emoms not the kindest thing to do to yourself.

I actually found W2 power clean emoms to be the toughest, something about that 3rd rep adds up fast

Bounced around a few programs, but now I'm back in the OMOB saddle.

I'd like to keep the Squat-Press-Power Clean 3x a week, but I feel like i have to throw in a few more movements (pushups, row, pullups) and i'd love to master bodyweight in tandem; just not sure how to optimally "program" those in

So you want to use the squat, press and power clean as your main strength movements? And use bodyweight movements as accessory? What kind of bodyweight stuff are you thinking of?

Got a nice pullup scheme in mind, but I feel like i need a horizontal push and pull movement.

I'm thinking standard barbell rows, and either DB bench, or pushups+dips

Jumped back in with V1 + money maker, but tried switching my squat and power clean EMOMS cuz of scheduling/timing conflicts for the first week.

V1W1 Squat(295): 160-185-200-225;7 reps EMOM Power Cleans: 105

           Finished with 4x10 rows

V1W1 Press(165): 90-105-110-125;8 reps EMOM 90

           Finished with pullups

V1W1 Power Cleans(195): 105-125-130-150

Gym closed for the night and I got the boot, so i finished with a max single of "Walk to my car"

Week 2; testing to see if i prefer the same EMOM as the lift of the day

V1W2 Squat(295): 185-210-225-240;6 reps EMOM-185
           finished with more rows

V1W2 Press(165): 105-120-125-135 EMOM-105
More pullups and some face pulls

Next up is power cleans

It's normal. Can't tell you how many times I start that last set with full intentions of going money maker, but rack the bar as soon as I'm done the programmed reps.

Another idea is to add the money maker as the final set of the emom. It's a bit lighter, but still burns.

I really like them, i've recently read more pulling is good for shoulder health so I figured if it's gonna be a pull-volume day, ill hit it extra hard
