Hey Fellas (and ladies if there are any lurking around here quietly).

I know we've got a handful of people that are just struggling with consistency and feeling positive about their efforts and health.

I was wondering if you all would be interested in me setting up a shared Google Sheets doc that could be shared with all of us and we set up some kind of scoring system where you get different points for different activities during the month of February?

You wouldn't win anything, except for just encouragement, involvement, and having fun.

I was just thinking instead of proposing some monster soul sucking WOD that most people aren't going to do right now, what if we just focused on healthy activity and moving forward, whatever that means for each of us?

I think I could setup a spreadsheet that would allow each of us to enter on the honor system what we did each day like, walking, running, lifting, mobility, yoga, sports.............etc, and then that would have some kind of point value.

Anyone interested in this concept?

I have missed that monthly challenge. And I like to think I've done fairly well with the "monster soul sucking WOD"... even if I've had trouble following through on everything else right now.

I am! I'll be back in the game soon, my body needs it bad. So does my mind. I'd love to see what you put together.

Okay, let me try to crank something out when I have some downtime today/tomorrow, and then you guys can give me some feedback and we can tweak it.

Maybe we do the last 3 weeks of February?

Okay so this is a pretty rough thing that I tossed together in a few minutes.

Basically you've got your date tracking on the far left. You could obviously do multiple activities in a day. The second column is a drop down and you would self select from that category.

The third column you would self assign a value of the intensity of the work that you did based on RPE (Relative Perceived Effort) from as low as 0.25 which might be a casual walk or something, to a level 10 which would be something like doing Fran or Murph and your heart is about to explode.

The fourth column you put in the amount of time that you did this activity, in minutes. Then the last column totals it all and gives you a score. I honestly didn't spend much time on the scoring.

The scoring is really just based off the RPE and the time. Take a look and let me know your thoughts.

Here's the link, so I think I set it up so that you could test it out.

Okay so I went back and made another update. Based on the activity that you choose from the drop down list you then get an 'Activity Value'. The value is debatable, which I'm fine to change those values based on feedback.

Don't try to edit the 'Activity Value' field, it will auto populate based on the 'Activity' that you choose from the drop down menu.

Okay, update has been made to the drop down list and to the Activity Value. Go ahead and test it.

Okay so who's in? Let me clean up the report and I'll make a sheet for everyone. So you'll see your handle on the tab at the bottom of the page so you know which sheet is your report.

I guess it can be for anyone? This isn't affiliated with EO3 other than I made it, and we are all on the EO3 log.

Okay I went in and cleaned things up a bit. I also added a few more sheets ready to go for whomever wants to claim them.

Also, I added a "How to Use" sheet at the beginning. If you hover over the first cell of each column it has a brief description of what you should or should not do.

:)

Thoughts on adding an "active recovery/mobility" activity?

Ok! I think I've got it figured out! I'm the worst at gauging RPE but that's not even the point.

Let's give it a try
