So I sold my wooden blocks earlier this month so that I could justify building a pair out of steel. Who's interested in seeing pics of the build. Also I really don't understand how certain companies can charge 1100 bucks for these when material cost is about 350. Mind you mine won't be adjustable for the time being because I don't have an accurate way to drill holes. Maybe I'll ask around about that.

Got all the steel cut last night, I'll probably start welding tonight.

Very cool, I have been debating learning how to weld for quite some time. I need to make some time and go take a class or two.

I didn't take any classes, just start out on scrap and watch YouTube videos and you'll pick it up easy. Tig welding on the other hand is alot more difficult to learn.

Looks great! How are you going to finish to top? With more steel or ply?

I'm using 2×4's and 1\2 rubber mat. I want to work on them but the weather says no! Really wish I had a garage now!
