23 September local race. Subida de Cordobilla. End of June since i last ran. Race was mostly road with some easy trail towards the end. Plus some hills. There are always hills. I started super slow. And didnt really get much faster. I averaged about 4.45 per km. My amigos were asking how it had gone and i said, contento si yo puedo andar manana... Happy if i can walk tomorrow! Tomorrow came and right achilles tendon was very sore right down low where it inserts into heel. Not best news ever! Something to work on.

No...it's not the news you were hoping for.

So, after a day of chewing on it, does this mean it's time to visit a doctor to get a formal diagnosis?

And forgive my memory, is this the same one that you have had surgery on or the other one?

No worries. I can still walk, ruck, cycle and throw in a little running from time to time.
I had monday and tuesday off because achilles and calves were super tight. A little tabata on Weds. A day off on thursday... With my daughter we went ti a neighbouring town to help kids learn english. Teaching is more exhausting than i had thought!

Now we are in demand! A couple of local schools want us to work for them... A modest income might not be a bad thing... And i get to talk to Spanish mums!! Always good to practise my spanish!

5th October - AWOL but still here! A couple of bike rides but now teaching English in assorted little local villages - should be able to get some commuting miles in on the bike!

Getting a little cooler here - might have to think about getting a teeshirt on - Friday night - listening to Zep - When the levee breaks. I have been alarmed to find that beer seems to be sticking around my middle!

6 October standard tabata for 7 exercises. Minute recovery between exercises. Treated myself to two rounds of burpees and two rounds of relentless plank plus db cleans, box jumps and high knee running on the spot.
Regrettably beer and cigarettes came later. But i was comparatively restrained.

13 october tabata burpees, squats, relentless plank, burpees, lunges, relentless plank, box jumps, run sprints. First set of relentless plank i was hitting 24 knees to elbow. Gave myself a gold star. Run sprints were not sprints at all.
